A rep from CTC will be here on Tuesday to meet with the sophomores at 12:30 p.m. in the Media Center.

 

Students will be excused from class Wednesday at 12:50 p.m. and there is no school Thursday and Friday.

 

The Benzie-Manistee Snowbirds is conducting snowmobile safety class on Saturday, December 2nd at the Snowbirds Club House in Kaleva for students ages 12 and up.

The 8th grade boy’s basketball team defeated Brethren 39-11.  Kenny King had 15 points, 3 rebounds, 10 steals, and 3 assists, Jake Griffis had 10 points, 2 rebounds, 6 steals, and 2 assists, Andrew Pitts had 6 points and 5 rebounds, Noah Bradford had 4 points and 6 rebounds, Nate Sanderson had 2 points, 3 rebounds, and 6 assists, and Morgan Blattner had 2 points and 3 rebounds.

 

The 7th grade boy’s basketball team also defeated Brethren 23-20.  Treyjin Waller had 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals, Zach Griffis had 10 points, 7 rebounds, 7 steals, and 2 blocks, and Kaden Forward had 2 points.

 

Hockey fans – the first home game is tonight at Centre Ice at 7:00 p.m. against Portage Northern. Student passes can be bought on Friday night for $30, this includes a Rep Rag and your pass for 10 home games!  Come cheer on Jonathan Adams!

 

The middle school boy’s basketball teams host Big Rapids Crossroads tomorrow.  Game time is 11:00 a.m.  This is a time change.

 

The elementary girl’s basketball teams travel to MCE tomorrow.  Game time is 9:00 a.m.

 

Attention 8th – 12th grade boys:  Sign up for Bear Lake baseball in the high school office.

 

The high school cross country banquet is Sunday at 4:00 p.m.

 

Sports Ink has two Varsity jackets (medium and XL) on sale for $100.  If you are interested, please stop by the high school office.

Tomorrow is Hat Day.  Bring a dollar, wear a hat!

 

Launch Manistee and the Armory Youth Project have partnered with West Shore Community College to bring parents and students a presentation on different ways to finance your college education.  This event takes place today at 6:00 p.m. at the Armory Youth Project Center.

Launch Manistee and the Armory Youth Project have partnered with West Shore Community College to bring parents and students a presentation on different ways to finance your college education.  This event takes place tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. at the Armory Youth Project Center.

School is open tomorrow.  However, there are no CTC classes tomorrow. 

 

The 6th grade, middle school, and high school band students along with the Fine Arts class is traveling to the Ramsdell Theatre today to watch a musical performance.  They will be gone from 12:05 – 2:15 p.m.

 

There is a blood drive at the Methodist Church today from 2:00 – 6:30 p.m.

The 7th grade boy’s basketball team lost to MCE 13-19.  Treyjin Waller had 4 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals, Zach Griffis had 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals, Kaden Forward had 3 points and 2 rebounds, and Cole Merrill had 2 points and 3 rebounds.

The boy’s high school cross country team placed 11th at State.  Gary McBride finished in 8th place and Kaiden Hejl placed 13th – both made All-State honors.  Trey Gilbert placed 67th, Hunter Bentley placed 168th, and Luca Leffew placed 189th place.

 

The girl’s high school cross country team placed 17th at State.  Elizabeth Belinsky placed 97th, Yuki Babinec placed 147th, Hayley May placed 178th, Solveig Saeternes placed 188th, and Vanessa Wahl placed 211th.

 

The 8th grade boy’s basketball team defeated Baldwin 16-13 and lost to Crossroads 17-23.  Kenny King had 17 points, Jake Griffis had 12 points, and Nate Sanderson had 2 points.

 

The 7th grade boy’s basketball team defeated Crossroads 29-5 and lost to Baldwin 10-21 and Walkerville 13-17.  Treyjin Waller and Zach Griffis each had 17 points, and Kaden Forward had 8 points.

 

The 5th grade girl’s basketball team defeated Walkerville 16-2 and lost to MCE 6-10 and Baldwin 4-16.

 

The 4th grade girl’s basketball team defeated Baldwin 12-0 and Pentwater 14-4 and lost to MCE 8-16.
