Hey!  The Lost and Found rack is growing.  Do yourself a favor and take a few minutes to check it out.  Surely your parents would appreciate you bringing home your missing shirt, sweatshirt, shorts, pants, jacket, sock, water bottle, hat, glove, shoe, or boot.  All unclaimed items will be donated.

           

January lunch menus are available in the high school office.                                                    

                                                                                   

The middle and high school Christmas concert is Monday at 7:00 p.m.; the elementary Christmas concert is Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.

 

The 10th grade class returns from West Shore College at 12:50 p.m. today.

 

Laker Sports

 

The Varsity boy’s basketball team defeated Onekama 86-47.  Bryson Waller had 25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals, and 2 assists, Reilly Merrill had 15 points, 4 rebounds, 5 steals, and 3 blocks, Tyler Johnson had 11 points, 10 rebounds, 6 steals, and 3 assists, Shane Peterson had 11 points, Cody Brown had 10 points, 3 rebounds, 4 steals, and 6 assists, and Michael Belinsky had 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 blocks.

 

The JV boy’s basketball team also defeated Onekama 52-50.  Paul Hayes had 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 steals, and 5 assists, Cole Verrett had 14 points, 5 rebounds, 7 steals, and 2 assists, Eli Garcia had 6 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals, and Joeb Reed had 6 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks.

 

The JV girl’s basketball team travels to Grand Traverse Academy.  Game time is 6:00 p.m.; the bus leaves at 4:00 p.m.

 

The Varsity girl’s basketball team travels to Pentwater.  Game time is 6:00 p.m.; the bus leaves at 3:30 p.m.

 

 

 

Any girl in grade 9-11 who would like to attend the Michigan High School Athletic Association Women In Sports Leadership Conference on Sunday, February 3rd and Monday, February 4th needs to do the following things:

1.     Thank an Athletic Booster – they are paying for the hotel rooms.

2.     Complete a two paragraph essay – answering the following questions – “Why should I be chosen to attend this Leadership conference?” and “How will my class and school benefit from my attendance?”

3.     Essay is due on Friday, December 20th – in the Athletic Office.

4.     If you are chosen to attend – the registration cost will be $50, which the student must pay.
