There is a Girl Scout meeting on Monday at 6:00 p.m. in the library for an elementary girl interested in joining the group.


Get your yearbook before October 28th for the reduced price of $30 and four icons of your choice.  Order at or pick up an order form in the high school office.


Laker Sports


The Varsity football team hosts Frankfort.  Game time is 7:00 p.m.


The Varsity volleyball team lost to Onekama 27-25, 17-25, 12-25, and 24-26.  Julie Schmidt had 8 points, 2 aces, and 11 attacks, Wren Gilbert had 7 points, 1 ace, 17 attacks, and 3 kills, Cheyenne Ware had 5 points and 4 attacks, Alexis Juarez had 4 points, 16 attacks, and 4 kills, Abby Cross had 4 points, 10 attacks, 3 kills, and 8 assists, Emily Belinsky had 4 points and 10 digs, Gabi Pargeon had 3 points and 10 digs, Jenna Cross had 2 points, 1 ace, 11 attacks, and 5 kills, and Kaitlynn Omar had 7 attacks.

The JV volleyball team also lost to Onekama 17-25 and 15-25.  Zoey Sutton had 5 aces and 3 assists, Lili Brown had 4 kills, and Hayley May had 1 ace and 1 kill.


The JV football team lost to Frankfort 13-40.


The middle and high school cross country teams host the Manistee National tomorrow.  Running begins at 10:30 a.m.


The Falling For Fitness run is tomorrow also at Manistee National.  Running begins at 9:30 a.m.


The middle school volleyball players will have their pizza party on Wednesday, October 26th after team pictures are taken.


The weight room will be closed until further noticed due to some minor repairs.


Sign up for winter sports in the high school office.  Middle school boy’s basketball practice begins on Monday.  While JV/V girl’s basketball practice begins on November 7th and JV/V boy’s basketball practice begins November 14th.  Please make sure you have a current sports physical on file with Ms. Leinaar.
