The Arcadia Lions Club will award two $500 scholarships to students in the Arcadia area, which includes Bear Lake.  Seniors, if you are interested in this scholarship, please stop by the high school office to fill out an application by Friday, March 23rd.

 

Tomorrow is Animal Planet Day!  Dress like your favorite non-human animal.  Dance passes are available in the high school office if you are bringing a guest from another school.  Completed forms are due to the office by Thursday.  The concession stand will be open all week for hall decorating from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.  They will be serving walking tacos tomorrow for $4.

 

February lunch menus are available in the high school office.

 

The freshmen class will be taking orders for Valentine flowers Monday through Thursday.  Flowers will be delivered on Wednesday, February 14th.

 

Laker Sports

 

The Varsity boy’s basketball team defeated MCC 60-51.  Kaiden Hejl had 22 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists, Trey Gilbert with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals, and 5 assists, Travis Johnson with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 assists, Zach Belinsky with 6 points and 7 rebounds, Gary McBride with 2 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals, and 4 assists, and Reagan Merrill with 2 points and 2 rebounds.

 

 

 

The JV boy’s basketball team also defeated MCC 44-24.  Clark May had 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists, Tai Babinec had 11 points and 4 assists, Trevor Eisenlohr had 7 points, 8 rebounds, 6 steals, and 3 assists, John Evans had 4 points and 11 rebounds, and Hunter Bentley had 4 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals.

 

The Varsity girl’s basketball team defeated Brethren Saturday night to stay tied for the league lead by a score of 45-44.  The Lady Lakers were lead by Yuki Babinec with 16 points, Hayley May with 11 points, and Alyssa Eisenlohr and Abby Cross both with 7 points.

 

The JV girl’s basketball team lost to Brethren 26-34.  Taylor Sexton had 8 points and Vanessa Wahl had 5 points.

 

The middle school girl’s basketball game against Pentwater scheduled for today has been moved to tomorrow at 5:30 p.m.  Also, there is no practice today.

 

Ms. Leinaar is selling Bear Lake red baseball caps for $20.
