Bear Lake’s spaghetti bridge building team called the Italian Battalion competed Friday and Saturday at Ferris State University in Big Rapids.  There were four categories of competition: Authentic bridge, load-bearing bridge, oral presentation, and written report.  Bear Lake won 5th place in the written competition and won the Best Rookie Team.  Their bridge was able to hold the initial weight of 5 pounds but broke at 25 pounds.  Congratulations to Josh Feyers, Jenna Cross, Gloria Girlanda, Chaira Pattero, Avery Mullet, Todd Merrill, and Johnathon Wertheimer for all of their hard work.

The Honor Band students will be practicing all day tomorrow at Manistee High School.

The Pinewood Derby competition is Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

Friday is the end of the third marking period.  It is also the last day of school before Spring Break.  School will resume on Tuesday, April 4th.
