March lunch menus are available in the high school office.


March is Reading Month and to kick off the festivities in the elementary, Wednesday is Hat Day and Thursday is Pajama Day.


NHS applications are due to Mrs. Pargeon by the end of the day.


The Cooperative Drama Production of Cinderella still has positions available for stage crew, tech, and chorus.  Interested students should attend a rehearsal in the Onekama cafeteria/band room to speak with Mrs. Harthun and/or Mrs. Joseph and fill out the required paperwork.  Rehearsals are Monday – Thursday, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. this week.


The following Bear Lake/Brethren T-shirts with the American flag on them to support veterans are available at the cost ofg $10 with all the proceeds going to the VFW: 1 medium, 2 large, 2 XL, and 4 XXL.

The Varsity boys basketball team defeated Pentwater 71-61.  Kaiden Hejl had 31 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 blocks, Trent Johnson had 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals, Joeb Reed had 7 points, and 6 rebounds, Trey Gilbert had 6 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists, and Gary McBride had 3 points and 10 rebounds.


The JV boys basketball team also defeated Pentwater 61-34.  Reagan Merrill had 15 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 assists, Tai Babinec had 15 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 assists, Nate King had 12 points, 3 steals, and 5 assists, John Evans had 8 points and 7 rebounds, Kyle Fink had 5 points and 5 rebounds, Olav Harstad had 4 points and 3 rebounds, and Clark May had 2 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists.


The Varsity girls basketball team was defeated Thursday night by Walkerville by a score of 29-38.  Leading players for the Lakers were: Kaitlynn Omar and Yuki Babinec both with 8 points, Mariah Beaver with 7 points, and Hayley May with 4 points.


The JV girls basketball team also lost to Walkerville 32-44.  Leading scorers were Faith Kidd with 9 points, Julie Schmidt and Alyssa Eisenlohr both had 3 points and Chaira Pattaro had 7 points.  The JV team finished the season with a record of 13-7.


The 5th grade boys basketball team went 2-1 on Saturday.  They defeated MCC 23-10 and Pentwater 20-7.  They lost to Baldwin 19-20 in overtime.


The 4th grade boys basketball team went 1-1 on Saturday.  They defeated Baldwin 19-8 and lost to Pentwater 14-4.


There will be a softball meeting today at 11:55 a.m. in the high school gym.
