A rep from Michigan Tech will be here at 1:00 p.m. in the media center.

 

Student Council is sponsoring Hat Day on Wednesday.  Bring a dollar, wear a hat!

 

Picture retakes are Wednesday, October 29th.  Picture forms are available in the high school office.

                                         

Laker Sports

 

The Varsity football team defeated Holton 56-19.

 

The middle school volleyball team finished in 2nd place at the Suttons Bay Middle School Volleyball Tournament on Saturday.  They defeated St. Elizabeth, Suttons Bay, Manistee, and Traverse City Christian, but lost to Elk Rapids.  Top scorer for the tournament was Mariah McLouth with 39 points.  Also scoring was Zoey Sutton with 20 points, Kelly Timmons with 12 points, Alyssa Eisenlohr with 11 points, Hailey Omar with 8 points, and Liliana Brown and Shaely Waller each had 6 points.

 

Great job by all middle school cross country this past weekend in the Manistee National Meet.  Trey Gilbert medaled for the Lakers.  It was a great and fun season. Please hand in your clean uniform to Mr. Harthun as soon as possible.

 

Congratulations to the Falling for Fitness for the spectacular running you did on Saturday.  Coach Smith and Coach Verrett are very proud of you.

 

Any 9th - 11th grade student interested in attending a workshop on Monday, November 3rd must sign up in the office by Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. this week.  Cost will be $15 per person, ten student leaders will be chosen form the list and announced on Friday.

 

Eighth – 10th grade girl’s basketball tryouts will be on Monday, November 10th at 3:00 p.m.

 

Middle School boy’s basketball practice starts tomorrow after school until 5:00 p.m.  All athletes - please make sure you have a current physical form on file.

 

                        Today’s Practices:          JV/V VB:     3:30 – 5:00 p.m.

                                                                   HSCC:       4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
