Attention students and staff: fresh off the Lutz Farm – corn on the cob will be served at lunch today. Thank you to Ms. Falk's class as they husked the corn for you to enjoy.

The Prom Boutique is looking for gently used prom dresses, shoes and jewelry. Donations may be dropped off at the high school office.

Picture Day is Monday.

The Varsity volleyball team defeated Grand Traverse Academy 25-19, 25-19, and 25-22. Hannah Harrington had 13 points and 6 kills, Shawna Llewellyn had 7 points and 4 aces, Emileigh Ferguson had 6 points, 3 aces, 10 kills, and 2 blocks, Jill Johnson had 6 points, 2 aces, and 2 kills, and McKenna Fink had 6 points, 2 aces, 2 kills, and 9 assists.

The JV volleyball team lost to Grand Traverse Academy10-25 and 12-25. Breann Buckner and Wren Gilbert each had 3 points.

The middle school volleyball team defeated Brethren 21-11, 21-19, and 15-8. Top scorer was Abby Cross with 7 points. Also scoring was Julie Schmidt and Emma Wilson each with 6 points, Gabi Pargeon with 5 points, Olivia Hejl with 4 points, and Daisy Evans with 3 points.

The girl's high school cross country team placed 1st in the WMD Jamboree. McKaya Groenwald finished in 3rd place, Alycia Peterson placed 4th, Kelly Babcock placed 5th, and Alyson Fink placed 6th.

The boy's high school cross country team also placed 1st at the Jamboree with a perfect score of 15. John Girven finished in 1st place, Jordan Anderson placed 2nd, Cole Verrett placed 3rd, Shane Peterson plaed 5th, Michael Belinsky placed 6th, and Jared Bair placed 9th.

The middle school cross country team won the WMD Jamboree. Gary McBride finished in 1st place, Lane Lee placed 2nd, Kaiden Hejl placed 3rd, Trey Gilbert placed 6th, and Yuki Babinec placed 10th.

The JV and Varsity volleyball teams hosts Frankfort. Game time is 6:00 p.m.

The JV football team travels to Coleman. Game time is 6:00 p.m.

The high school cross country teams travel to MSU tomorrow. Running begins at 2:00 p.m.; the bus leaves at 7:35 a.m.

Come support the Onekama/Bear Lake Pop Warner Football Teams this Saturday at the Onekama football field. The first game begins at 10:00 a.m.

Ms. Leinaar is looking for ticket takers, score board and line judges for middle school and high school athletic events. These are paid positions for students in grades 6th – 12th. Please see her if you are interested.

Starting Monday, the athletic department will provide a written interest survey to all students in grades 3-12 about future sport opportunities at Bear Lake. There will be two student sport passes drawn from all returned surveys on Tuesday. So once they are completed, you are encouraged to turn them in.

Athletic Eligibility begins next Monday.
