There are no Career Tech classes today.


Auditions for the spring cooperative musical, Grease, will be held Wednesday, February 19th at the Onekama School Band Room, Thursday, February 20th in the Bear Lake School Band Room, and Monday, February 24th in the Brethren High School Band Room.  All auditions are from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and are open to any student enrolled in one of the three school districts, grades 4-12.  Only chorus “extra” roles will be available to younger students.  Students are invited to attend whichever audition location fits their schedule, but all rehearsals and performances will be at Onekama School.  The musical will be performed the first weekend in May.  For more information contact Mrs. Joseph at Onekama or Mrs. Harthun at Bear Lake.  You’re the one that we want!

The Varsity girl’s basketball team defeated Pentwater 71-35.  Hannah Harrington had 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 steals, Emileigh Ferguson had 22 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 3 assists, and McKaya Groenwald had 8 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals.


The Varsity boy’s basketball team defeated Big Rapids 99-72, MCC 60-44, and MCE 75-46.  Shane Peterson had 51 points, 3 rebounds, 10 steals, and 12 assists, Reilly Merrill had 49 points, 25 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 blocks, Tyler Johnson had 41 points, 19 rebounds, 10 steals, and 8 assists, Bryson Waller had 29 points, 16 rebounds, and 5 steals, and Cody Brown had 28 points, 7 rebounds, 10 steals, and 27 assists.




The JV boy’s basketball team lost to Big Rapids 45-56, and defeated MCC 54-22 and MCE 72-33.  Joeb Reed had 44 points, 21 rebounds, and 8 steals, Trent Johnson had 35 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 steals, Cole Verrett had 27 points, 13 rebounds, and 13 steals, and Jared Sarinopoulos had 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 steals.


The 8th grade girl’s basketball team lost to Brethren and defeated Onekama at the WMD Tournament.  Yuki Babinec had 33 points, Abby Cross had 8 points, and Alyssa Eisenlohr had 6 points.


The 7th grade girl’s basketball team lost to Onekama and Brethren at the tournament.  Julie Schmidt had 11 points, Olivia Hejl had 6 points, and Faith Kidd and Gabi Pargeon each had 4 points.


The JV and Varsity girl’s basketball teams travel to Baldwin.  Game time is 6:00 p.m.; the bus leaves at 4:00 p.m.


Sign up for middle and high school spring sports in the high school office.


The 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament is April 12th.  The early entry deadline is March 1st.  Flyers are available in the high school office.
