There will be a blood drive today from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. on the stage.  Please sign up with Mr. Grahl, you must be 16 or older with parent’s permission.

 

Second and 5th hour exams are tomorrow.  Schedules are available in the high school office and on the school website.

 

Senior Composites are today at 12:30 p.m. in the media center.  Students are reminded to dress appropriately.

 

High School Solo and Ensemble is Saturday at Cadillac.

 

There will be a Financial Aid meeting Monday, January 19th at 7:00 p.m. in the media center.

 

The Prom Boutique, located in the Briny Building, will be open on Thursday, January 22nd from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 31st from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

                                                                                                                                               

Laker Sports

 

The Varsity boy’s basketball team defeated Brethren 76-69.  Jordan Anderson had 26 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals, and 5 assists, Paul Hayes had 20 points, 4 rebounds, 9 steals, and 3 assists, Michael Belinsky had 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists, Taylor Makowski had 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists, and Joeb Reed had 6 points and 4 rebounds.

 

The JV boy’s basketball team lost to Brethren 44-57.  Kaiden Hejl had 20 points, 4 rebounds, 7 steals, and 7 assists, Gary McBride had 10 points and 5 rebounds, Trevor Pargeon had 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals, and Jared Sarinopoulos had 5 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals.

 

The 8th grade girl’s basketball team defeated MCC 33-13.  Faith Kidd had 20 points and 7 steals, Julie Schmidt had 4 points and 2 steals, and Alyssa Eisenlohr had 4 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.

 

The 7th grade girl’s basketball team also defeated MCE 28-6.  Kelly Timmons had 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals, Lily Brown had 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals, and Mariah McLouth had 4 points and 2 steals.

 

The JV and Varsity girl’s basketball teams travel to Baldwin.  Game time is 6:00 p.m.; the bus leaves at 4:15 p.m.

 

The ski team races at Crystal Mountain at 5:00 p.m.

 

The Knights of Columbus is holding their Free Throw Competition on Sunday, January 25th for ages 10 – 14 at MCC.  Registration is at 1:00 p.m.
