Mr. Grahl has three shovels left from the snow sculptures on Sunday.  See him after school.  There is a wood handle spade, a wood handle flat nose, and a snow shovel.


There is a Blood Drive today on the stage from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m.


The Manistee County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a Snowmobile Safety Course Saturday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. for the ages of 12 – 16.  For more information, please pick up a flyer in the high school office.                                      


Laker Sports


The Varsity girl’s basketball team defeated Traverse City Home School 55-32.  Emily Ferguson had 20 points, 17 rebounds, and 2 assists, Kelly Babcock had 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals, McKaya Groenwald had 9 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, and 5 steals, Katie Millard had 4 points and 3 rebounds, Alycia Peterson had 3 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 steals, Alyson Fink had 3 points and 2 rebounds, and Erika Hejl had 2 points and 6 rebounds.


The JV girl’s basketball team also defeated Traverse City Home School 60-18.  Cheyenne Buckner had 16 points and 3 steals, Wren Gilbert had 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 steals, Katelyn Pruyne had 13 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals, Rachael Makowski had 12 points, Jenna Cross had 9 points and 12 rebounds, and Halie Clarke had 4 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals.


The middle school girl’s basketball teams host Onekama.  Game time is 5:00 p.m.

The 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament is April 12th.  The early entry deadline is March 1st.  Flyers are available in the high school office.
