Student drivers – please turn in your vehicle form to the office by Friday.  Mrs. Mallison is pretty sure there are more than nine drivers!  Thank you.

 

Juniors and seniors – please turn in your recruiting letter to Mr. Grahl.

 

Middle and high school students – please turn in all of your back-to-school paperwork to Mrs. Mallison right away.

 

A representative from Central Michigan University will be in the media center today at 1:30 p.m.  Fire up future Chips!

 

Are you good at knowing facts about history, current events, geography or other interesting stuff?  Are you good at solving problems?  If so, then Quiz Bowl might be for you.  The first meeting will be at lunch this Friday in Ms. Jonson’s room.

 

The 2016-2017 yearbooks are in.  Please see Ms. Leinaar or one of the yearbook staff to pick yours up.  Forgot to order one?  No problem, there are extras on sale for $35.

 

Picture Day is Monday. 

 

Laker Sports

 

The Varsity volleyball team defeated Baldwin 14-25, 25-14, 25-19, and 25-15.  Alexis Juarez had 10 points, 6 aces, 11 attacks, and 5 kills, Olivia Hejl had 8 points, 6 aces, 3 attacks, 3 kills, and 20 assists, Emily Belinsky had 8 points, 4 aces, and 8 digs, Gabi Pargeon had 7 points, 3 aces, and 5 digs.  Daisy Evans had 6 points and 3 aces, Kaitlynn Omar had 5 points, 4 aces, 9 attacks, and 6 kills, Abby Cross had 4 points and 3 aces, and Julie Schmidt had 3 points, 2 aces, 11 attacks, and 5 kills.

 

The JV volleyball team also defeated Baldwin 23-25, 25-18, and 15-5.  Shaely Waller had 16 points, 10 aces, 8 attacks, and 7 kills, Mariah McLouth had 14 points, 7 aces, 4 attacks, and 3 kills, and Zoey Sutton had 6 points, 2 aces, 3 attacks, 2 kills, and 10 assists.

 

The middle and high school cross country teams host the WMD Jamboree.  Running begins at 4:00 p.m.

 

The middle school volleyball team travels to Walkerville.  Game time is 5:30 p.m.; the bus leaves at 3:45 p.m.

 

Attention middle school cross country runners: please dismiss from class at 2:40 p.m. to change clothes and get to Ms. Deb’s bus by 2:55 p.m.

 

The Fall Sports Assembly is today at 2:00 p.m. 

 

Athletics is looking for help – MS Volleyball – clock operators and ticket takers; JV/V Volleyball – clock operators, line judges, and ticket takers.  If interested, please see Ms. Leinnar.
