Caps and gowns will be handed out to the seniors on Tuesday. Senior Decision Day will be celebrated on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. Seniors – please see Mr. Grahl for the Bear Lake United Methodist Church Scholarship applications. *Laker Sports* The softball team defeated Walkerville24-1 and 18-3. Hayley May was 6-7 with 5 RBIs, a double, a triple and a run, Shaely Waller was 5-6 with 2 doubles, a triple, 7 RBIs, 5 runs, and 3 stolen bases, Alyssa Eisenlohr was 4-5 with 3 RBIs, 6 runs, and 7 stolen bases, and Erica Blattner was 3-3 with 2 RBIs, 3 runs, a double, and a stolen base. Hailey Omar was 3-4 with a double, and 3 runs, Abby Cross was 4-8 with a double, a triple, 5 RBIs, 5 runs, and 6 stolen bases, and Lili Brown was 3-6 with 3 RBIs, 3 runs, and a stolen base. The golf team finished in 3rd place yesterday with a team score of 213, 20 shots better than the previous team score. Season best scores were Yuki Babinec and Kyle Fink both with a 48, Tai Babinec with a 49, and Jonah Hengy with a 69. The JV baseball team split with Pine River winning the first game 9-0 but losing the nightcap 11-6. Colin Sanderson pitched a shut out two-hitter in the first game with 11 strikeouts. Noah Sutton and Andre Brown combined to pitch the second game and struck out 7. Noah Sutton, Jake Griffis, and Colin Sanderson each had 3 hits. The soccer team lost to Northern Michigan Christian 0-3. The high school track team travels to Manton. Events start at 4:00 p.m.; the bus leaves at 1:45 p.m. The middle school track team travels to Frankfort. Events start at 4:00 p.m.; the bus leaves at 1:40 p.m. The Varsity baseball team travels to Forest Area tomorrow. The bus leaves Onekama at 7:00 a.m. Now that the Spring Sports Season is finally in full swing, it’s time to sign up for fall sports!
