Senior Breakfast is today at 9:00 a.m. followed by graduation practice. Graduation is tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. The 4th grade class returns from Magoon Creek at 2:45 p.m. The pre-school graduation is today at 10:00 a.m. in the library. Student Council speeches and election begins at 1:00 p.m. Order a 2017-18 yearbook for $35 and get the previous 3 books for $10. So 4 books for $45, if you’re a senior you have all four years in pictures. Must be ordered by tomorrow. Reward Day is June 1st. One available activity is a Painting Party sponsored by Lisa Kennedy’s Sip and Stroke Painting and Kennedy Masonry and Concrete. No art experience is necessary. Everyone goes home with a painting and a SMILE! See Mrs. Pargeon for more information and to sign up. *Laker Sports* The softball team split with Suttons Bay. They lost the first game 7-12 and won the second game 8-6. Shaely Waller was 3-6 with a triple, a double, and 5 runs, Hayley May was 3-4 with a triple, 2 runs, and 6 stolen bases, and Zoey Sutton was 2-3. The JV baseball team split with MCE yesterday winning the opener 6-1 and losing the second game 3-6. Noah Sutton and Kaiden Hejl each had 4 hits and Colin Sanderson and Angel Aguilar each had 2 hits. Andre Brown had 7 strikeouts. The softball team travels to Lake Leelanau St. Mary’s. Game time is 4:30 p.m.; the bus leaves at 2:15 p.m. Athletes will be excused from class at 2:05 p.m. The Varsity baseball team travels to Forest Area. Game time is 4:15 p.m.; the bus leaves at 2:10 p.m. Athletes will be excused from class at 2:00 p.m. The golf team travels to the Heathlands. Tee time is 4:00 p.m. Track Athletes who will not be competing at state are asked to bring in their uniform to Ms. Leinaar.
