The 2020 yearbooks are on sale for the price of $25. Stop by the high school office to pick up your copy! The food service will be giving out seven days worth of meals tomorrow from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. to any child between the ages of 0-18. Each family will also receive a fresh produce box filled with russet potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, onions, celery, clementines, dinner rolls, and a 3-4 lb. ham. They will also be handing out meals on Tuesday, December 29th and Monday, January 4th from 1:00 – 1:30 p.m. Friday is the last day of school. Christmas Vacation is from December 19th – January 3rd. School is scheduled to resume in person for all grades on Monday, January 4th. TODAY IN HISTORY 1773 – Nearly 350 chests of tea were dumped into Boston Harbor off of British ships by Colonial patriots. The act was to protest taxation without representation. 1901 – “The Tale of Peter Rabbit,” by Beatrix Potter, was printed for the first time. 1960 – A United Air Lines DC-8 and a TWA Super Constellation collided over New York City, killing 134 people. FUN FACTS Queen Elizabeth II owns all the swans in England. The average person has 67 different species of bacteria in their belly button. A giraffe’s tongue is about two feet long and they can even lick the inside of their ears! CHRISTMAS TRIVIA The largest gingerbread house ever made was as big as a real house! It was 160 feet long, 42 feet wide and 10.1 feet tall. The builders used 1,800 pounds of butter, 7,200 eggs, 3,000 pounds of sugar, 7,200 pounds of flour, and over 22,000 pieces of candy!
