Bryce Harless passed for 192 yards and two touchdowns including 115-yard touchdown to Zach Griffis and 70-yard touchdown to Jake Griffis. Gabe Aguilar rushed for 144 yards and scored 3 touchdowns and Aven Sensing 53 yards and one touchdown. Bryce Harless and Jake Griffis also converted on two-point conversions. Leading tacklers for the Lakers were Travis Hughey with 11.5, Cole Merrill with 11, Aven Sensing with 8, and Zach Griffis with 6. The high school cross country team ran this past weekend at the Cecil R Burch Memorial Invitational, hosted by Pine River School. The top finisher for the boys was Kaden Forward in 10th place. Top finisher for the girls was Cecilia Girlanda in 9th place. The middle school cross country team also competed at Pine River on an extremely tough and extra long course. The girls finished 4th behind Traverse City East Jr. High, Cadillac, and McBain. Leading the way were Melodie Hulinek and Natalie Brown. Top finishers for the boys were Nolan Koscinski and Caleb Forward.
