Our District

District Profile

The Bear Lake School District is a small, rural school district located in Northwestern Michigan. The district resides in a village that has a population of approximately 300 people. The school district contains one elementary school enrolling 190 students, one middle school enrolling 70 students, and one high school enrolling 100 students. All are contained in the same building. We like to consider ourselves a K-12 district enrolling a total of 360 students. There is a strong sense of community within the school.
