TODAY IN HISTORY – 1776 – George Washington’s retreating army in the American Revolution cross the Delaware River from New Jersey to Pennsylvania. 1941 – The United States entered WWII when it declared war against Japan. The act came one day after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. 1953- Los Angeles became the third largest city in the US. FUN FACTS – A shrimp’s heart is in its head.
