October is College Month! Students and staff are encouraged to wear college t-shirts or sweatshirts every Friday. Today’s college trivia question is: What does it mean to be a first generation student? Seniors text or email your answer to Ms. Rife BY THE END OF TODAY to receive your golden ticket. The College Fair at West Shore Community College is Monday from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. in the recreation center. The 7th grade class will be traveling to Grace Adventures on Monday and will return on Wednesday. The Jostens rep will be here next Thursday beginning at 11:30 a.m. to take ring orders and graduation orders. *Laker Sports* The Varsity volleyball team defeated Baldwin 25-14, 25-18, 25-12, 25-22, and 15-5. Cosima Holler had 7 kills, 2 assists, 7 aces, and 6 digs, Cheyenne ware had 2 kills and 5 aces, Lili Brown had 3 kills and 2 aces, Hailey Omar and Mariah McLouth each had 3 kills, Olivia Hejl had 13 assists, Kailtynn Omar had 6 kills and 2 aces, Gabi Pargeon had 7 assists and 7 aces, Shaely Waller had 4 kills and 2 aces, and Julie Schmidt had 2 kills and 2 aces. The Varsity football team hosts Bellaire tomorrow. Game time is 7:00 p.m. Seniors and parents will be honored during halftime; this is also their pink game. The high school cross country team leaves today for Portage. Racing begins at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow. The Varsity volleyball team travels to Brethren tomorrow.
