Graduate Activities for next week: Awards Night is today at 7:30 p.m., Graduate’s Last Day is tomorrow along with Decision Day at the beginning of 4th hour followed by the Junior/Senior Challenge; Baccalaureate is also tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at the Bear Lake United Methodist Church. Graduates breakfast and practice is Thursday beginning at 9:00 a.m. Graduation is Friday at 7:30 p.m. *Laker Sports* The softball team defeated Big Rapids Crossroads on Friday 16-0 and 15-9. Hayley May was 4-5 with 2 homeruns, 7 RBIs, 3 runs, and 2 stolen bases, Lili Brown was 3-5 with 4 RBIs, 5 runs, and 4 stolen bases, and Abby Cross was 3-4 with 3 RBIs, 3 runs, and 5 stolen bases. Shaely Waller was 3-4 with a triple, 3 RBIs, 3 runs, and 2 stolen bases and Alyssa Eisenlohr was 2-3 with 4 RBIs, and 2 runs. The baseball team split a double-header with Big Rapids Crossroads on Friday, losing the first game 6-12 and winning the second game 10-9. Jake Griffis had 4 hits, Andre Brown, Colin Sanderson, and Bryce Harless each had 3 hits, and Levi Ledford and Ethan Groll each had 2 hits. Levi Ledford had 4 RBIs. Great job to all the runners at the F3 Zombie 5k on Sunday and a huge thank you to all the volunteer zombies. They were awesome! The golf team is hosting an invitational today. Tee time is 10:00 a.m. The middle school softball team travels to Frankfort. Game time is 5:00 p.m. The soccer team travels to Northern Michigan Christian. Game time is 3:30 p.m.; the bus leaves at 1:00 p.m. Athletes will be excused from class at 12:50 p.m. The middle school track team travels to Benzie. Events start at 4:00 p.m.; the bus leaves at 2:15 p.m. Athletes will be excused from class at 2:05 p.m. The softball team hosts Manistee while the baseball team takes on Baldwin. Games begin at 4:30 p.m. The middle school baseball team travels to Onekama. Game time is 4:30 p.m. MRA is looking for baseball (t-ball, machine pitch, and Little League) umpires for the month of June.
