The kindergarten and 1st grade students return from Sleeping Bear Dunes at 2:30 p.m. The middle and high school awards are today at 7:00 p.m. Today is the last day for students to check out books in the library. The 5th and 6th grade classes are traveling to Grand Rapids tomorrow. They will be gone from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. The 2nd and 3rd grades classes are hiking at Spirit of the Woods tomorrow. They will be gone from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. June lunch menus are available in the high school office. Tomorrow is the last day to charge meals to your account. Thursday is the last day for CTC classes Exams begin on Friday. Schedules are available in the high school office. Please drop off the Prom Boutique dresses, shoes, and jewelry to the high school office by Friday. The Children’s Theater Workshop will be held from August 12th – 16th, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Manistee High School Auditorium for students in grades 3rd – 9th (2019-20 school year). Cost is $45 for one child; additional family members are $25. Registration forms are available in the high school office. *Laker Sports* The softball team lost to Mesick 20-13 and 6-5. No other stats are available at this time. The baseball team lost to Mesick 1-7 and 3-11. Jake Griffis led the Lakers with 3 hits, followed by Levi Ledford and Colin Sanderson with 2 each. There is a cross country meeting today at 12:00 p.m. for students in grades 5th – 11th. The soccer banquet is next Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Brethren High School library.
