It’s finally starting to get warm out! You know what that means – time for the dress code reminder. Students may not wear “muscle” or t-shirts with the waist cut off or shirts will the arms or parts of the body cut off. Halter-tops, see-through blouses, mesh shirts, and spaghetti straps are also not acceptable. Shirts should not expose the body torso. Students should be able to stand straight with their arms on their sides and fingertips touching the bottom of their shorts or skirt. The 4th – 6th grade Field Day is from 8:00 – 11:30 a.m. The K-3rd grade Field Day is tomorrow from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. Today is the last day for CTC classes. First and 6th hour exams are tomorrow. Schedules are available in the high school office. The 4th grade travels to Mackinac Island tomorrow. They will be gone from 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. The 7th and 8th grade students will be traveling to the Vogue Theatre tomorrow to watch Aladdin. They will be gone from 8:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Please drop off the Prom Boutique dresses, shoes, and jewelry to the high school office by tomorrow. There is a blood drive Tuesday at the Methodist Church from 2:00 – 6:30 p.m. The Children’s Theater Workshop will be held from August 12th – 16th, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Manistee High School Auditorium for students in grades 3rd – 9th (2019-20 school year). Cost is $45 for one child; additional family members are $25. Registration forms are available in the high school office. *Laker Sports* There will be a quick meeting today for JV and Varsity girl’s basketball players in the library at 11:45 a.m. The softball and baseball teams host Pentwater. Game time is 4:30 p.m. The soccer banquet is next Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Brethren High School library.
