This is Start with Hello Week, a national week to remember that everyone is important and part of our Laker Family. For day two, compliment at least three people throughout the day. The 2019 yearbooks are available for purchase; cost is $40. Students will sell books during lunch today. After today please see Ms. Jonson. Volunteer opportunities are now available for students in grades 7-12! This month’s volunteer opportunities are serving food at the community dinner, helping clean up the village, and the scrap tire event. Volunteering is not only fun, but it will build your resume for when you apply for college, scholarships, NHS application, or even jobs – it’s a win-win! Sign up sheets and information are on the high school bulletin board. The rep from Northwestern Michigan College will be stopping by at 11:40 a.m. *Laker Sports* The middle school volleyball team lost to MCC 22-25, 25-7, and 9-15. Kylie Blattner had 8 points, Lily Artman had 6 points, Maggie Evans had 5 points, and Haley Mathieu had 3 points. The JV and Varsity volleyball teams travel to MCC. Game time is 6:00 p.m.; the bus leaves at 4:30 p.m. Friday is the last day to purchase your Student Athletic Pass for the reduced price of $20.
