Volunteer opportunities are now available for students in grades 7-12! This month’s volunteer opportunities are serving food at the community dinner, helping clean up the village, and the scrap tire event. Volunteering is not only fun, but it will build your resume for when you apply for college, scholarships, NHS application, or even jobs – it’s a win-win! Sign up sheets and information are on the high school bulletin board. *Laker Sports* The Varsity volleyball team lost to MCC 18-25, 25-13, 15-25, and 18-25. Shaely Waller had 7 kills, 3 aces, and 5 digs, Zoey Sutton had 2 kills, 6 aces, and 8 assists, Hailey Omar had 4 kills, 6 aces, and 4 digs, Emma Reynolds had 4 digs, Lili Brown had 3 digs, and Lydia DeLeeuw and Marissa Frisbie each had 2 digs. The JV volleyball team also lost to MCC 14-25 and 18-25. Destiny Edson had 3 aces, Conzuelo Magana Garcia had 2 aces, and Riley Kilbourn and Keera Groenwald each had 2 kills. The middle and high school cross country teams travel to Marion. Running begins at 4:00 p.m.; the bus leaves at 2:00 p.m. Athletes will be excused from class at 1:50 p.m. The middle school volleyball teams travel to Frankfort.
