This month’s volunteer opportunities are serving food at the community dinner, helping clean up the village, and the scrap tire event. Volunteering is not only fun, but it will build your resume for when you apply for college, scholarships, NHS application, or even jobs – it’s a win-win! Sign up sheets and information are on the high school bulletin board. *Laker Sports* The 8th grade volleyball team lost to Brethren 19-25, 25-22, and 10-15 and Frankfort 17-25 and 10-25. Kara Smith had 23 points, Juliet Austin had 15 points, Kylie Blattner had 10 points, and Kaylee Cherry had 7 points. The 6th grade volleyball team defeated Frankfort 25-14 and 25-18 and lost to Brethren 25-21, 17-25, and 8-15. Maggie Evans and Scout Stutz each had 13 points, Olivia Buckner had 12 points, and Lanessa Ware had 11 points. The middle school football team defeated Baldwin 28-22. The JV and Varsity volleyball teams host Brethren. Game time is 6:00 p.m. Tomorrow is the last day to purchase your Student Athletic Pass for the reduced price of $20.
