This month’s volunteer opportunities are serving food at the community dinner, helping clean up the village, and the scrap tire event. Volunteering is not only fun, but it will build your resume for when you apply for college, scholarships, NHS application, or even jobs – it’s a win-win! Sign up sheets and information are on the high school bulletin board. *Laker Sports* The Varsity volleyball team lost to Brethren 16-25, 15-25, and 18-25. Hailey Omar had 5 aces, Marissa Frisbie had 5 digs, Lydia DeLeeuw had 3 digs, Zoey Sutton had 2 aces, and Shaely Waller had 2 digs. The JV volleyball team also lost to Brethren 8-25 and 15-25. Riley Kilbourn and Taylor Merrill each had 4 digs, and Keera Groenwald had 3 aces. The Varsity football team travels to Big Rapids Crossroads. Game time is 7:00 p.m.; the bus leaves at 4:00 p.m. The middle and high school cross country teams travel to Shepherd tomorrow. Running begins at 11:40 a.m.; the bus leaves at 8:30 a.m. Tomorrow is the last day to purchase your Student Athletic Pass for the reduced price of $20.
