Parent/Teacher Conferences begin at 1:30 p.m. Students will be excused from school at 12:50 p.m. *Laker Sports* The high school boy’s cross country team finished 2nd in the conference championship meet yesterday at Walkerville. Top performers were Hunter Bentley, Bren Lopez, Trevor Eisenlohr, Marcus Langeland, Tai Babinec, Robby McLouth, and Jared Cook. The girls also had a great day on the course with Alex Rineer, Bella Leffew, and Victoria Hall. The middle school cross country team competed at the League Championship in Walkerville yesterday. The boy’s team finished in second place. Kaden Forward won the boys race despite running without one of his shoes for ¾ of the race. Kaden Worch finished in 6th place and Phillip Putney placed 20th. The girl’s team finished in third place. Jocelyn Teter placed 7th, Natalie Brown was 13th, Sydney Bentley placed 24th, and Piper Putney was 31st. The middle school football team lost to Mesick 8-16. The JV and Varsity volleyball teams travel to Onekama. Game time is 5:30 p.m.; the bus leaves at 4:15 p.m. Fourth – twelfth grade students – sign up for winter sports in the high school office.
