Students in grades 8-12 interested in working the Exchange should see Mrs. Harthun to sign up for shifts. There will be a mandatory student employee training session Thursday during lunch in Mrs. Harthun’s room. The elementary students are participating in the Manistee County Youth Hygiene Drive. Students are encouraged to donate toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, and bars of soap. Please drop off all items to your classroom. The drive ends this Friday at noon. The class that has the most hygiene products by the end of the week will get a cookie party the following week! *Laker Sports* The 7th/8th grade boy’s basketball team lost to Brethren 24-35. Treyjin Waller had 14 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks, Kaden Forward had 6 points and 3 assists, Elijah Ruiz had 2 points and 4 rebounds, Austin Teter had 2 points and 3 rebounds, and Cole Merrill had 6 rebounds and 2 blocks. The 6th/7th grade boy’s basketball team defeated Brethren 25-10. Grady Harless had 13 points and 10 steals, Myles Harless had 6 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 assists, Kaden Worch had 4 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals, Spencer Mallison had 2 points and 2 rebounds, and Aiden Cypert had 3 rebounds and 2 steals. There are two steps to signing up for the program. First, you must pick up the packet from the high school office, fill out the form, and return to the office by Friday. Secondly, the online payment and waivers for Crystal Mountain need to be done online. The link is on the form.
