Leading the Lady Lakers was Bella Leffew with 6 points, and Sky Love and Leah Nelson each had 4 points. The JV girl’s basketball team also lost to MCE 22-26 in overtime. Kylie Blattner had 14 points, Taylor Merrill had 4 points, and Alexia Rineer and Juliet Austin each had 2 points. The 7th/8th grade boy’s basketball team defeated Onekama 48-39. Zach Griffis had 32 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 steals, Treyjin Waller had 10 points, 13 rebounds, 2 steals, and 5 assists, Jayden Raspotnik had 4 points and 6 rebounds, Nathan Brown had 2 points and 3 steals, and Kaden Forward had 8 rebounds and 2 steals. The 6th/7th grade boy’s basketball team lost to Onekama 16-33. Myles Harless had 9 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocks, Grady Harless had 7 points and 7 rebounds, and Elijah Ruiz had 4 rebounds. The JV and Varsity boy’s basketball team travels to Marion. Game time is 6:00 p.m.; the bus leaves at 4:00 p.m. The middle school girl’s basketball practices for today and Monday have been canceled due to Christmas concerts.
