Today is the last day to place your Valentine’s Day order with the Freshmen Class. Orders can be placed at lunchtime or with Mrs. Harthun. The Cooperative Drama Program will be holding auditions for Frozen, Jr. on Monday and Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Onekama School band room. Students only need to attend one audition date. The show will be the last weekend in April. Hallway decorating today – 12:50 – 4:30 p.m. Monday kicks off Spirit Week 2020 with Staff Twin Day. Show your school spirit by dressing like someone on staff at Bear Lake Schools. Judging will take place at 12:45 p.m. Homecoming Dance passes is available in the high school office for students who are bringing a guest from a different school. Passes are due on Thursday, February 13th. *Laker Sports* The Varsity girl’s basketball team lost to Walkerville last night. Leading the Lady Lakers were Bella Leffew with 11 points, Kalissa Swanson with 8 points, and Taylor Sexton with 4 points. There is no practice this afternoon, please help your classes with Spirit Week activities. The JV girl’s basketball team also lost to Walkerville 19-20. Kylie Blattner had 8 points, Taylor Merrill had 6 points, and Juliet Austin and Desirae Evans each had 2 points. The middle school girl’s basketball team defeated Walkerville 14-6. Maggie Evans had 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 steals, Olivia Buckner had 2 points and 5 rebounds, Piper Putney had 2 points, Scout Stulz had2 rebounds and 3 steals, and Lillian Hall had 4 rebounds. The JV and Varsity boy’s basketball teams travel to Mesick. Game time is 6:00 p.m.; the bus leaves at 4:30 p.m. Anyone who brings a non-perishable item will get a dollar off the entry charge. If you bring 5 items, you get in for free! The hockey team travels to Midland tomorrow to take on Tri Valley. Game time is 5:00 p.m. Softball players who will be participating in Sunday’s hitting practice should bring the form and payment with them. Middle school girl’s and elementary boy’s basketball teams will have their pictures taken on Monday beginning at 2:00 p.m. with the boy’s team.
