October is College/Career Month. Festivities begin Monday – Market IT Monday: Elementary students will be reading books about various careers while the middle and high school students will participate in a Career Exploration Worksheet. Attention 8th – 12th grade students! It is time to start crafting for The Exchange, our Christmas season fundraising store located in downtown Bear Lake. Please clear item ideas with Mrs. Harthun to avoid duplicate items and to ensure a delightful selection for our customers. We open in November, so let’s get crafting! The boy’s team finished in 2nd place. Congratulations to all of the runners. The middle school cross country team had a great day at the conference championship yesterday, finishing 2nd to league champion MCE. Lauren Pulido-Huber, Caleb Forward, and Spencer Mallison ran personal records while Natalie Brown had a season record. The middle school volleyball team took on Onekama and played their 7th and 8 th grade teams. The team fought hard and played together well. The final results for the 7th grade match were 8-21, 23-21, and 8-15. For the 8th grade match, the final results were 19-21, 19-21, and 9-15. Maggie Evans and Scout Stulz each had 5 aces during the two matches. The Varsity volleyball team hosts Onekama. Game time is 6:00 p.m. Middle school boy’s basketball practice begins Monday. It’s time to sign up for Winter Sports – middle school girls and boys basketball, JV/V girls and boys basketball, high school skiing, and high school hockey.
