Forms are available in the high school office. *Laker Sports* Congratulations to our boys and girls cross country teams for a great season and a great performance at the Regional meet on Saturday. The girls team finished 5th and the boys team finished 4th. Earning a medal for the girls was Bella Leffew finishing in 15th place. For the boys team, Hunter Bentley finished in 3rd place and Kaden Forward was 8th. Both Hunter and Kaden move on to race at the MHSAA State Finals on Saturday at Michigan International Speedway. The Varsity football team lost to Brethren in a playoff football match-up Friday night. Tate Aultman threw for 106 yards and ran for 45 yards. Gabe Aguilar had a 45-yard receiving touchdown while Jake Griffis, Jackson Cook, and Bryce Harless scored on the ground for the Lakers. Harless also kicked an extra point, the first in Laker football history. Harless also had 70 yards in rushing followed by Jackson Cook with 60 yards rushing. Cook was the leading tackler on defense with 13 ½ tackles followed by Quentin Ruiz and Bryce Harless with 6 and Cole Merrill with 5 ½. The elementary girl’s basketball team los to MCC 6-18 and defeated Pentwater 20-6. The Varsity volleyball team travels to Onekama for the first round of Districts.
